Elegant Foundry Room Edmonton Wedding

This wedding was special for so many reasons. Firstly, I grew up with Andi + Cole and their families are dear friends. Their wedding day actually ended up being on my 30th birthday and it was such an amazing way to celebrate with people I know and love so dearly. Their wedding was intimate and they had a GORGEOUS autumn day. We had weather of almost +20 and being an October wedding, we had golden hour around 4 pm for their portraits so we had the most DREAMY light. October is becoming one of my favorite times for weddings because the soft light during portraits with an earlier sunset makes for the most gorgeous images. Because the light is softer and not as harsh in the fall I used Portra 400 for the film stock. The way film captures that fall light makes me melt. The light is so glowy and buttery and beautiful! The tones of the film have a depth and elegance to them that I just adore. This wedding was also special because I got to work with some of my vendor besties. Therese nailed the floral design and I loved how the terracotta tones feel soft and elegant for a neutral but defined design. The golden terracotta tones also perfectly matched their beloved dog, Gracey – so even the photos with their pup look perfectly cohesive and curated! Everything had an elegant and chic flare, from the brides satin gown from Delica to the bridal gloves from Kerry Parker Atelier. To her perfectly done elegant waves by Hair Designs by Maggie (which is ALL of Andi’s hair by the way- ZERO extensions). The contrast of Andi’s dark har with her white gown was just breathtaking. Her wedding ceremony and reception were hosted at the Foundry Room and there were so many pretty details. From their stationery, vow books, florals, to their ceremony and reception decor. Andi also made time for some bridal boudoir during her getting ready portraits which turned out beautifully. Click here to read more about bridal boudoir sessions with me! This wedding was definitely one for the books. I hope you love the images from Andi + Coles beautiful day!
