Sunny San Diego is a destination photographer’s dream. Between sandy beaches and the eternal sunshine, the place practically begs to be captured. Coronado Island is quaint and charming. It’s just across the bay from San Diego and we decided to check out this part of the coastline because of the iconic Hotel del Coronado. You can almost imagine Marilyn Monroe sashaying down the cobblestone drive at Hotel del Coronado, because, well, she did (65 years ago). And with its iconic Victorian architecture, the Hotel lends itself to timeless appeal. Pristine white terraces are capped by stunning turrets that evoke that feeling of gilded age luxury. The extravagance of the hotel combined with the swoon-worthy scenery makes this place a sought after destination. I’m so glad we visited the beaches of Coronado Island; it truly was the most magical setting for this oceanside engagement session!
The shoot was romantic but also lighthearted and sweet. With the murmur of the waves and the gentle ocean breeze, it’s easy to let go of any nervousness in front of the camera. I was so happy with the candid shots that we captured, as it really feels like you can sense the playfulness and the chemistry between these two. Also can we talk about Lyndsay and Andrew’s perfectly curated outfits?! I love the soft creams + sage and how beautifully this palette photographed! Lyndsay’s darling headpiece really pulled the whole look together! That golden hour glow reflected on the water? *chef’s kiss. Sigh, put me on a beach in Southern California and I am a happy photographer. I hope you all love these photos!!!
