Gaayathri & Garret Registration of Marriage

The Couple

Gaayathri and Garret reached out to me just a few days prior to their legal ceremony looking for a photographer. They were getting married on a Thursday so I was super pumped I was available and could document this day for them! Garret proposed to Gaayathri in Lake Louise- and she didn’t see it coming at all! It was a total surprise (good job Garret!) They have been together for 2.5 years and they love traveling together! Including road trips in Alberta as well as international travel. Garrett describes Gaayathri as authentic, humble, creative, determined, funny, easy going and beautiful (both inside and out!). Gaayathri describes Garret as down to earth, intelligent, hard working, cheeky, humorous, and big hearted. She also LOVES his cuddles and chef skills in the kitchen!

The Wedding Day

Garret and Gaayathri were supposed to get married in Malaysia in April but due to COVID-19 restrictions were unable to. They still wanted to make things official so they organized a registration of marriage/legal ceremony celebration with about 30 close family and friends. Their day was so beautiful. Blooms by May did such a gorgeous job on the florals and B’Natural Artistry did an amazing job on hair/makeup. Gaayathri, you looked GORGEOUS. Flawless. Like so, so so so so stunning. (Garret you looked amazing too!!). They got married overlooking the Edmonton River Valley on a Thursday morning and it was beautiful. The skies were overcast with a sporadic, light mist of rain. Gaayathri actually said one of her favorite moments from the day was when it drizzled as that is a sign of good luck. Garret’s favorite part of the day was kissing the bride… which I had him do ALOT for photos- so, you’re welcome Garret! You two, I’m SO glad our paths crossed and we were able to connect. I had the best time working with you!!! I hope you love your photos!
