When True to Hue announced their stunning garden wedding workshop with Kristyn Harder Photography hosted at the Deane House I knew I couldn’t miss it. The moment I saw the colour palette and inspiration photos for this shoot I was giddy with excitement. Creating magical images was made possible because Rebekah Brontë’s styling and design is incredible. Rebekah has such sophisticated taste and as a result everything she designs is beautiful. Her vision was made possible by the collaboration of Calgary’s top wedding vendors.
Everything about this editorial reflects my style as a fine art photographer. The feminine colours, the breathtaking florals, the stunning tablescape, elegant gown, handmade jewelry, luxurious hair and make up, gorgeous venue… this filled my creative cup as an artist. I shot Fuji400H on my Pentax 645N because I knew these styling details would photograph beautifully on film. The Canadian Film Lab did an amazing job with these scans. I absolutely love the tones and texture of these images. The way film captures light and color is so dreamy and whimsical.
