Kelsey and James made the difficult decision to post-pone their July 2020 wedding and celebrate in July 2021. With the postponement of their original date also came a change in plans for their venue. When they told me they booked Trestle’s Edge Wedding Venue I was so excited because it was a venue I had been eager to work at! Trestle’s Edge is a charming outdoor white tented venue nestled under a large canopy of trees. It truly feels like a woodland fairytale. The use of lush greenery and rich emerald tones in this wedding design really complimented the earthy elegance of the venue. Their florist, Studio Bloom, also did such a beautiful job on the bridal bouquets with a timeless combination of white blooms and dainty greenery.
The ceremony took place at an open clearing in the trees overlooking the river. The aisle was lined with eucalyptus garland while friends and family gathered on rustic benches as they watched James and Kelsey say “I do!” After the ceremony, guests gathered by the parachute tent for a toast to celebrate the beautiful couple. This is the perfect spot to enjoy cocktail hour as it has a luxe lounge area with beautiful sofas. Bottled Bronco was also on the scene providing the best mobile bar experience!
The reception started with a delicious meal from A Cappella Catering followed by a series of heartfelt speeches. I love getting to know my couples more as their loved ones share nostalgic stories during the speeches. A personal touch that was so special at this wedding was the live music provided by Jame’s family. They are all so talented and it was so meaningful having family use their talents to celebrate Kelsey and James. I just adore these two and it was the greatest honour photographing their big day. I hope you love these images!
