These two are the SWEETEST! They met each other for the first time at a house party Jessica was hosting. They started going on dates and Mike was SUPER sweet when he asked Jessica to make their relationship exclusive. She came home late from work one day and in her room there were three long stem roses and a note. On the note he wrote a list of things he had learned about her in the time they’d spent together and talked about how he wanted to continue to be a part of her life. MY HEART! The rest is history. So the officially started dating on June 2, 2018. And on the 2nd of every month, for the next YEAR – Mike would write Jess a letter and leave it somewhere in the house so she would find it. She still has ALL the letters. These two are incredibly thoughtful to each other, and to EVERYONE around them. They make everyone they talk to feel important, and like a million bucks. It’s a quality I immediately recognized the moment I met them. Mike actually mentioned his favorite thing about Jessica is how much she looks out for and cares for others. Jessica loves that Mike is genuinely caring – and unexpectedly funny and witty! Their favorite part of their wedding day was the ceremony and marrying each other. They absolutely loved celebrating with family and friends, as a lot of people had travelled really far to attend the wedding.
This really was a picture perfect September wedding. It was the first weekend in September, so they got the best of both worlds – a sunny summer day with vibrant, fresh fall colors. I had been looking forward to this wedding quite literally all year. A greenhouse wedding had always been on my bucketlist because I’m obsessed with all the greenery, the light and airy architecture of the building, the gorgeous light that comes flooding through the roof, and the elegance of the space. New Beginnings Greenhouse did not disappoint – it was a beautiful venue for a beautiful celebration. This is a new venue in the Edmonton area and it was an honour to be able to photograph one of the first weddings hosted here. Can we also talk about the color palette of this day? OBBBBBSSSSESSSDDD. The soft blush and mauve colors that were tied together from the bridesmaid dresses to the bouquets… stunning. These bridesmaids also NAILED their dresses- they all live in different cities, so they were never actually able to see their dresses together. They did a perfect job because the looked AMAZING all together! We had nothing but sunshine all day, and when I think back to this perfect September wedding I just think to myself, “there is sunshine in my soul today.” Jessica and Mike- thank you so much for allowing me to document your special day. I hope you love your images!!! xoxo Jenny
